Germany-based Zanders Paper is planning to extend its Zanjet range of high-speed inkjet papers, following the business’ successful emergence from insolvency proceedings.

Zanders Paper was created last year by the previous Zanders company emerging from insolvency proceedings under the management of a team led by Norwegian pulp and paper businessman Terje Haglund.

Swedish investment company Jool Invest has since become a co-investor in Zanders Paper. With interests within the paper, wood products and finance industries, including Lessebo Paper, Zanders Paper noted that the involvement of Jool Invest in the business has had a positive effect on purchasing conditions, as well as the development of new sales markets.

Terje Haglund, managing director at Zanders Paper, said, ‘With Jool Invest as a shareholder, we successfully complete the restructuring of Zanders Paper and realise the planned growth.’

A further side effect has been the capacity to develop its product range. This includes Zanjet. Currently available in gloss and silk coated versions, trials with grades for completely new applications are already in progress. Development of Zanbarrier, a range of oil and grease resistant papers for food packaging, is also to be accelerated, focusing on the fluorocarbon-free Zanbarrier NGR.

A strong order situation is reported for Chromolux, Zanlabel, Zanpack, Silver Digital, RX Nature and Zankraft.
