LasX and Karlville have formed an OEM partnership to deliver enhanced converting capabilities to flexible packaging customers.

The partnership sees LasX integrate its laser and software technology into Karlville’s converting machinery.

LasX CEO William Dinauer commented, ‘Our strategic partnership enables LasX, Karlville, and Karlville’s partner company, Web Control, to scale manufacturing of our exceptional laser processing solutions to customers in multiple locations around the world.’

Karlville has reported increased demand for easy-open and breathable features, and other unique requirements in packaging, from its customers, where lasers are seen as the most effective option. LasX’s sister company LaserSharp FlexPak Services also provides the capacity for Karlville and Web Control to develop and test laser technology to validate the process and ensure ‘maximum customer satisfaction’.

Karlville president John Price said, ‘To meet the demands of our customers, we felt the need to find a partner for lasers with strong technical and process experience, and a dedicated service and support team in both the US and Europe. With this partnership finalised, we now feel 100% confident that we can deliver first-class integrated laser solutions to the global market.’

LasX has also formed a strategic partnership with Grafotronic and made a number of appointments to boost its footprint in Europe.
