Antalis has named Steve Chappell as the first development manager for its graphical board business.

Mr Chappell joins Antalis after a decade at Iggesund Paperboard as UK account manager for packaging and graphics. In this role he worked closely with carton manufacturers, merchants, printers, end users and brand owners who use Incada and Invercote.

With a total of 25 years of experience in the paper and board industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Antalis and to the newly created role of graphical board development manager.

The appointment comes as part of Antalis’ response to the surge of public awareness in environmental and social concerns around packaging, waste and best-use materials, which has pushed paperboard to the front of innovation.

Bruce Munro, national sales director at Antalis UK, commented, ‘Steve’s appointment as graphical board development manager will allow him to channel his experience of merchanting and manufacturing into this evolving growth sector. Antalis is a pioneering company with a highly experienced and knowledgeable board team. Steve will be working to help customers to develop their use of graphical board.’
