Nineteen new apprentices joined the team at Mitsubishi HiTec last month.

Five paper technologists, three industrial mechanics, three electronics technicians, one cutting machine operator, four machine and plant operators, one IT specialist and two industrial clerks began their careers on 1 August.

The apprentices will be split between Mitsubishi HiTec’s mills in Germany, with 13 to be based in Bielefeld and the remaining six in Flensburg. They will now undergo intensive training in various fields of expertise.

‘For us, training young people has been a priority for a long time,’ said Marcel Bornemann, HR administrator at the Flensburg plant. ‘We also look outside the box; for example, coming soon, we have a one day seminar on addiction prevention, because career and health go hand in hand.’
