Kodak is to continue to celebrate 20 years of its Prinergy workflow software as part of this year’s European Graphic Users Association (GUA) conference.

Prinergy workflow software is a pre-press automation system for the commercial and packaging printing industries.

The Prinergy portfolio of products supports all major printing processes across commercial and packaging – digital, flexo, offset and gravure.

In digital, Prinergy can be used to manage Kodak’s various printing systems, including the Nexpress and Nexfinity platforms, and Prosper presses. It is compatible with nearly all third-party technologies and equipment. Prinergy also provides customisable automation capabilities and access to cloud-based and decision analytics-based tools.

A recent development has been the introduction of Prinergy Managed Services. In the lead up to drupa 2020, further developments for the Prinergy platform will be announced.

Attendees at the 2019 European GUA conference will be able to learn more about Prinergy Managed Services and the newly launched Prinergy Virtual Machine Engagement (VME) cloud-based platform. They will also be updated by Kodak on its future plans through software.

GUA is a worldwide, non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering users of Kodak technology and systems with the tools and information to be successful.  Founded over 20 years ago, the association is comprised of customers sharing knowledge and experience to help one another. GUA members and regional advisory boards work closely with Kodak to provide feedback on new and existing systems to optimise investments to address real-world business and technical challenges.

The GUA conference held earlier this year in New Orleans was also used to mark the software’s milestone anniversary.

After that event, Todd Bigger, president of Kodak’s software division, said, ‘For 20 years, Prinergy has helped thousands of printers all over the world focus on what matters most, building a thriving business. Our customer-focused and customer-driven approach continues to guide us today as we invest in Prinergy to make the most powerful tool in the industry even better.

‘While the demands on printers become more complex with opportunities to grow into new markets, Prinergy aims to eliminate complexity for printers with comprehensive automation that drives costs down and is easily expandable, so you can add capabilities as your needs change and your business evolves.’

The 2019 European GUA conference takes place 29-31 October in Berlin, Germany. A celebration dinner will be held on 29 October in recognition of Prinergy’s 20thanniversary. More details can be found here.

Mr Bigger continued, ‘The focus of GUA is to ensure the members are up to date with the latest technology, promote knowledge sharing and provide first class networking opportunities. The European GUA conference remains true to these principles, while also featuring a number of new innovations, which keep the event fresh and relevant.

‘With the additional celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Kodak Prinergy we would urge all those who can make room in their busy schedules to join us.’
