Major brands are signing up for the Digital Labels & Packaging industry group conference in November. Entitled ‘Digital Print for Brand Success’, the event is attracting big names which are keen to share their experiences of using digital print to enhance their branding and put products on the shelf.
Twinings, a brand synonymous with premium tea for over 300 years, charts its development into digital print. David Spencer, marketing manager, and John Nicholson, packaging development manager, will be discussing the aims and process behind initiating this move as a new campaign is planned.
Another exclusive case study will be presented by Paul Day, packaging technologist, Neal’s Yard Remedies, who together with Trevor Smith, managing director, Amberley Labels, will explain how together they successfully developed a range of international labels to fit all packaging options. Using cutting edge digital print production the project has strengthened the NYR brand offering across the globe and helped expand the market and sales opportunities.
Digital print is also driving Iceland’s global expansion, says Ian Schofield, who is the own label and packaging manager for Iceland Foods. The UK supermarket chain’s investment into overseas markets is using digital print to present its offering.
A panel of experts will be debating the merits of augmented reality, which is used by brands to interact with consumers. Stephen Shaw, opportunities director, Blippar, Paul Jenkins, managing director, PackHub, and Gregory Bentley, R&D Europe packaging innovator, Coca-Cola, will be sharing their thoughts on this technology during a debate which will offer a real insight into the latest developments and how they will affect the future.
