Four of the major players in the Netherlands have formed Optimum Group

W&R Etiketten, Etiket Nederland, Vila Etiketten and Max. Aarts have merged operations creating a considerable force in the Dutch label market.

The merger creates Optimum Group, a company boasting a €50 million turnover and 220 employees, with a total of 14 UV flexo presses and six digital machines.

By joining forces all four companies will be able to serve their current customer base even better. Advantages for current and new customers will be a larger product offering, better service by a large, combined sales force and increased flexibility due to the higher number of production locations.

Etiket Nederland is a printer of self-adhesive labels for customers in the food, logistic and retail industries. Vila Etiketten is a digital printing specialist producing self-adhesive labels for the graphic industry. Max. Aarts is specialised in UV flexo printing and is a provider of printed banding labels, specialising in self-adhesive labels, wet-glue labels, multilayer labels, security seals, gummed tapes, foils and flexible packaging for clients in the food, logistic and retail. W&R Etiketten is specialised in large volumes in UV flexo printing and mid-sized digital print runs for customers in the food, logistic and retail industries, flower & plants, and chemistry.

The companies will continue to operate independently, and will remain at their current locations. The management of all four companies will continue to be closely involved and will jointly be responsible for the entire group.
