The FlexoTech Awards nominees in the digital print category have been announced.
Over the last few years, the digital labels and packaging category at the FlexoTech International Print & Innovations Awards has grown in step with the development of the technology.
This reflects both the increasing number of printers employing digital printing as well as the number of jobs. Up until recently, labels printed by electrophotography have been dominant, but we are now seeing flexible packaging and pre-print liners being entered into the competition too.
This year’s nominees include Abbey Labels, which printed ‘Mr Sam’s Fantastical Botanical Elixirs’ badge label and CS Labels, which was awarded two nominations for the ‘Hampshire Gin’ and ‘Northern Monk’ labels, while Royston Labels gained recognition for the ‘Honeyrose Earth Impact’ label and Ultimate Digital’s ‘Nim’s Fruit Crisps’ range of flexible packaging completed the group.
Judge Sean Smyth commented, ‘We received an excellent set of entries – short runs and versioning abound on labels, flexibles and corrugated; superb range of finishing add value and use of multi-part products maximise the impact and shelf appeal.’
The winner will be announced at the gala dinner on 13 October 2016 at the London Hilton Metropole. Tickets can be reserved by contacting Chloe Ward at email@example.com; tel. +44(0)1892 514 991 or book online here.
