The Rt Hon David Curry (L) and Stuart Kellock, managing director of Label Apeel
Thurmaston-based label printer Label Apeel attended the Houses of Parliament for the launch of this year’s The Parliamentary Review, after being selected to appear in the publication.
Established by former minister The Rt Hon David Curry after the 2010 general election, The Parliamentary Review features Label Apeel alongside The Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon Philip Hammond, and a small number of outstanding organisations in the general manufacturing edition.
The main aim of The Review is to showcase best practice as a learning tool to the public and private sector. The publication is sent out to thousands of leading policymakers.
‘It was a real honour to not only be in the Houses of Parliament, but also representing the UK’s manufacturing industry,’ said Stuart Kellock, managing director of Label Apeel. ‘I know from my own experience that reading the review and having the opportunity to talk to the other business leaders has given me a lot of food for thought.’
‘Each of the representatives brings something very different to the table, while at the same time capitalising on the collective wisdom of their industry,’ commented The Rt Hon David Curry, editor of The Parliamentary Review. ‘There may be choppy waters ahead but organisations across the country would be well-advised to keep an eye on the representatives in this year’s The Review when deciding how to set their sails.’
