Domino’s CEO Nigel Bond

Domino Printing Sciences has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Innovation, in recognition of its A-Series i-Tech range of industrial continuous inkjet printers. This is the sixth Queen’s Award for the company since its incorporation in 1978.

The A-Series i-Tech range of printers has been designed utilising significant advances in innovation and technology, changing the standards of performance and operation, leading to enhancements in the cleaning and servicing of printers, handling waste, reducing ink usage and optimising print quality.

The key benefits delivered by the intelligent Technology (i-Tech) ink system and electronic platform have resulted in efficient, high-performance coding with legibility at high speeds, reduced service interventions, ultra-low consumption of organic solvents – with environmental and waste-disposal benefits – and a range of ink formulations that comply with European and global food packaging guidelines.

CEO Nigel Bond said, ‘We are honoured and proud to have been selected for a Queen’s Award for Innovation. It is a fitting tribute to our skilled and talented team who have worked on the A-Series and i-Tech ink system which is proving so popular with customers across the world and is delivering real benefits to their operations.’
