A £1.3 million investment has seen Springfield Solutions double the size of its digital print operation, taking the overall footprint from 20,000 sqft to over 26,000 sqft. Printing capacity has also increased by 30% at the company’s headquarters in Hull.

Dennis Ebeltoft, joint managing director, said the launch had been a milestone in the company’s 42-year history. ‘We’re absolutely delighted to be unveiling our new #PrintWorks digital print room, which heralds the next chapter in Springfield Solution’s incredible story.’

The expansion has been made possible by taking over the building adjacent to the company’s existing print room and now houses five digital presses.

Mr Ebeltoft added that the extra capacity would see millions more labels printed and lead times improved for the company’s print and brand management customers. ‘Having more digital presses means we have more capacity, consistency and continuity allowing us to innovate and push the boundaries of what digital print can do, and that is great news for our clients and the industry as a whole.’
