Ultimate Digital, part of the Ultimate Group, has installed a second HP Indigo 20000 digital press for flexible packaging, thereby doubling print capacity to nearly 50,000 linear metres of digital film per day.

‘We are already producing a number of exciting campaigns for brands that feature personalised packs including the recent, hugely successful personalised KitKat campaign,’ said Chris Tonge, executive director. ‘By increasing print capacity we can produce a larger number of these impressive campaigns. We manage the complete workflow using Smartflow, our digital workflow system. The Ultimate Group provides a wide-ranging service for brands and retailers looking to launch campaigns that entice consumers to connect.’

Ultimate has also connected with Kalas Packaging, which installed an HP Indigo 30000 press for folding cartons and sleeves earlier this year, to provide customers with a complete digital solution for flexibles and cartons, enabled by Smartflow.

Matt Evans, sales director for Kalas, commented, ‘By creating a complete, digital workflow we understand that packaging can become a powerful, connective tool for brands.’
