The Bossjet is a true hybrid production line

International Label & Printing Company Inc, in Illinois, has upgraded its digital capability through the acquisition of a CEI Bossjet hybrid finishing line.

The new machine includes a seven-colour Domino N610i inkjet engine, which has been combined with finishing options from Converting Equipment International (CEI).

‘We pride ourselves on balancing the high-tech with the high-touch,’ said Mark Turk, president and CEO. ‘Simon Gross [CEO of CEI] has created a great partnership between CEI, International Label and Domino, and we’re confident this machine will allow us to reach new heights in servicing our customers and attracting new ones.’

The new Bossjet replaces an existing five-colour Domino press and includes two flexo stations (one before the inkjet unit and one after), corona treatment, dual-sided web cleaner and static elimination, cold foiling station on a rail that allows this process to take place pre- or post-digital printing, three rotary die-cutters: one regular, one with a support-roller for reverse-side cutting and a third for sheet cutting, and two matrix rewinders.

Mr Turk concluded, ‘I love my current Domino, but this configuration is going to take us to the next level by eliminating 50% of the time it takes us for finishing.’
