Amica’s UV inkjet engine integrated on a Werosys Compact line

Amica Systems Europe and Werosys are joining forces in a new partnership that will offer new solutions to the digital printing market.

The result of this cooperation can be seen at Labelexpo where Amica will show its Gemini 330 UV label press fully integrated on a Werosys servo-driven roll-to-roll transport system. Werosys will be demonstrating a hybrid solution were the Amica UV full colour inkjet is fully integrated, and combined with cutting and automatic slitting.

‘As Amica Systems is highly experienced in the field of industrial inkjet systems, we were searching for a partner with outstanding knowledge on roll-to-roll transport where we can integrate our modular inkjet system,’ said Patrick Citroen, managing director. ‘In Werosys, we have found a company with all the capabilities we were looking for and, above all, the flexibility to act fast and professional to serve our needs.’

Soren Pedersen, managing director of Werosys, said, ‘During our initial talks with Amica Systems we quickly came to the conclusion that a collaboration could enable both companies to develop a range of interesting products, which we see a clear need for in the market.’

He explained, ‘By combining Werosys’ highly modular Compact platform with Amica’s unique UV inkjet technology, we developed a solution that can be combined with any Werosys Compact module to form a hybrid print and converting solution at a very competitive price point. The combination of a number of Werosys fully automated flexo printing modules with CMYK UV inkjet means that our customers can combine printing technologies – and perform final finishing for one-stop label production.’
