The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, in Notting Hill, London, is launching a new exhibition series looking at different aspects of current and future packaging innovation.
Opening on 1 November, the first display looks at personalised packaging and has been curated by ThePackHub consultancy.
The display details several of the latest personalised packs as well as one-of-a-kind pack versioning, all enabled using the latest digital print capability. Visitors can also order a personalised pack via a special online portal at the museum.
Paul Jenkins, managing director, said, ‘ThePackHub is delighted to collaborate with the Museum of Brands on this exciting initiative. It is great to see how many of the packaging designs of the past has influenced the evolution of packaging innovation in the present day.’
Karin Kihlberg, executive director at the Museum of Brands, said, ‘Our permanent exhibits shows technological developments and how packaging has evolved from Victorian times to the present day. This new evolving display will be continuously updated to capture the most innovating packaging being produced today as well as exploring the most cutting-edge technology in packaging innovation. The aim is to stimulate further debate on complex questions such as sustainability and how packaging is used by brand and marketing professionals to build business.’
The exhibit launches on 1 November from 08.00-10.30am when Mr Jenkins and Chris Griffin, CEO of Museum of Brands, will be giving their opening speeches.
