Stephen Anderson is heading up the new office

To meet a rise in demand for its labelling knowledge and printing expertise, Label Apeel has opened a permanent office in Scotland. Stephen Anderson has been appointed as business development executive to head-up the new operation.

Based in Alloa, seven miles from Stirling, the new facility will allow the team to provide a greater service north of the border. The company works with a variety of leading Scottish drink brands, including Innis & Gunn, House of MacDuff, William Grant & Sons, Moray Distillery and Kilchoman.

Mr Anderson joined the team in May. He has a strong background in sales and marketing for high street brands and said he has been delighted with the response. ‘We have a strong reputation in Scotland and the reaction to opening the Alloa office has been encouraging. Many of the companies I’ve met with are already aware of our work with the likes of Warner Edwards and Southwestern Distillery – and our focus on customer service.’

He continued, ‘We take an active interest in our clients and develop solutions that specifically benefit the businesses we work with. Take Mackintosh of Glendaveny – we conducted tests on their bottling line with a selection of materials to maximise speeds and deliver the right solution. While a recent project with the Isle of Skye Candle Company saw us develop new processes and techniques to assist their expansion into the American market.’

Label Apeel is also focusing on developing relationships within the design industry. It works with some of Scotland’s top agencies, including Breeze Creative Design Consultants.

Stuart Kellock, managing director, said it was the right time to introduce a second office. ‘We have established a strong and well-respected reputation from our office in Leicestershire, and this has carried across the border,’ he said. ‘Many of our Scottish customers already have confidence in our flair for quality, fair pricing and customer service, and a more local office will only enhance this. Our overall aim is to offer unrivalled levels of customer service to the Scottish market, helping brands to produce labels that increase shelf appeal, value and overall profitability.’
