Portugese label printer Codimarc is making the move into digital technology with the investment in a Domino N610i inkjet label press.
Founded in 1997, the company serves a global customer base operating across various sectors using flexographic and hot stamping technologies. It is also a value-added facilitator and supplier of integrated label printing solutions, producing around four billion labels per year in total.
José Sampaio, general manager, explained, ‘With increasing customer demand for shorter print runs and lead times, we realised that it was time for us to start investing in digital. We conducted a long and thorough review of the different digital technologies and solutions available and selected the Domino N610i label press with the new UV90 ink set because it had the best print quality, the highest speed and productivity, and the best total cost of ownership.’
Mr Sampaio continued, ‘Our objective is to help our customers identify and sell more products every day. This new investment into digital inkjet will supplement and complement our existing printing technologies, enabling us to expand our business and product offering to our customers.’
Cristina Azevedo, finance director, said, ‘We are delighted to be taking our first step into digital printing in partnership with Domino, whose extensive experience of developing and manufacturing proven and reliable inkjet technologies was another contributory factor in our decision.’
