WM Labels, a newly formed label company based in Sudbury, has invested in a PicoColour UV inkjet digital press from the Dantex Group. The sale was brokered at Labelexpo Europe in September.

The PicoColour is a small-footprint label printing system, which was launched in 2015 as Dantex’s first foray into digital. Printing at speeds up to 35m/min, it uses Xaar printheads with UV-based inks and is available with CMYK + white. The entry-level press can accommodate substrates between 30 to 320 microns in thickness.

The installation of the new press is taking place this month.
