Italian confectionary producer, ADR, has incorporated Markem-Imaje’s CoLOS software to manage its print production, resulting in a reduction of errors across its packaging lines.
The software is running continuous inkjet, thermal Transfer overprinters and print and apply systems work on ADR’s lines, operating in full compliance with the requirements of large-scale distribution, GS1 and the regulations of different foreign markets.
According to Ervin Persano, production manager at ADR, “We looked at Markem-Imaje because we knew the history of a company would be very important. And so, we established this great relationship with the company.”
Mr Persano also highlights the quality of technical and customer service as decisive factors to partner with Markem-Imaje. The fact that the Markem-Imaje Virtual Assistant can be accessed easily via QR code on the printer’s touch screen and the intuitive guidance in case of a problem adds to ADR’s satisfaction. “With the introduction of a QR code, we can immediately understand the exact type of error that the machine has and consequently intervene in a timely manner. This obviously allows us to optimize time and reduce production stoppages.”
Federica Milo, team leader for supplies and service at Markem-Imaje Italy, underlines that the dialogue with the customer is essential for a successful collaboration. “In our work, offering technical support means being there before, during and after every customer need. We train customers to use our service portfolio, to solve problems and to order the right parts, in complete autonomy.”
