Packaging provider Zeus Group and packaging and processing machinery provider and Engelmann & Buckham (E&B) have collaborated to deliver a complete, end-to-end packaging automation and consumables solution for UK businesses.
The partnership brings together Zeus’s extensive packaging consumables portfolio and customer reach with E&B’s technical expertise in automation, materials handling, packaging machinery, and end-of-line systems.
Together, the companies will provide UK manufacturers, logistics operators, food producers, e-commerce fulfilment centres, and industrial businesses with a truly integrated offer – from machinery specification through to ongoing consumables supply and maintenance support.
Under the collaboration, Zeus will act as the commercial partner, working closely with clients to understand production processes, operational challenges, and automation needs. E&B will provide site assessment and process mapping; machinery specification and solution design; pricing, quoting, and system integration; supply, installation, and commissioning; and service, technical support, and full maintenance packages.
This combined model enables customers to benefit from a single point of contact and a fully integrated solution, while improving production efficiencies and reducing downtime and operational costs. By aligning consumables with machinery performance, it also delivers long-term value and greater operational reliability.
The partnership will also explore rent-to-buy and finance-through-consumables models – allowing customers to acquire machinery via structured rental agreements linked to ongoing consumables usage thus mitigating the need for one of Capital Project Approval.
Keith Ockenden, Zeus Group’s UK managing director, commented: “This partnership significantly strengthens our automation strategy and enhances the value we deliver to customers. By combining E&B’s engineering and machinery expertise with Zeus’s national reach, packaging manufacturing and consumables portfolio, we are creating an efficient, competitive & integrated solution for UK clients. This collaboration is a natural next step in helping customers drive efficiency, productivity, reduce costs, and future-proof their operations.”
Iain Buckham, chairman of E&B, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Zeus… Together, we can provide a seamless, end-to-end approach – from specifying the right machinery to maintaining it and ensuring optimal performance with the right materials. We look forward to a strong and successful 2026, and to setting high standards for automation solutions across the UK.”
