Print inspection company GlobalVision has launched what it says is the first-ever cloud-native inline inspection system: Verify Inline. The company believes the inspection system is a “major industry breakthrough”.
By moving press inspection to the cloud, Verify Inline eliminates the constraints of traditional hardware-bound systems, according to GlobalVision. It said, the technology reduces the pressures of constant press-side monitoring, allowing press operators to concentrate on higher-value tasks and improve efficiency across workflows.
“With Verify Inline, we’re bringing the entire pressroom into the cloud, unlocking new levels of flexibility and control for our customers,” said Michael Malz, chief product officer at GlobalVision. “For the first time, production teams can monitor print quality wherever they are, ensuring quality is under control and the press is running fast. This means less time chained to the press-side, and greater control than ever before.”
Continuously comparing labels on the press with the client-approved PDF or ‘golden master’, Verify Inline identifies errors during production, explained the company. The system uses scanner-based imaging and AI-assisted software to capture distortion-free images and maintain consistent accuracy, helping to ensure steady press performance.
Key features and benefits of Verify Inline, according to the company, include cloud-native global oversight, scalable across presses and plants from anywhere in the world; unmatched accuracy, with its advanced scanners; all-in-one inspections, where registration, text, graphics, barcodes, QR codes, and colour checks are all included in one automated workflow; press optimisation, through real-time inspections; less waste, with early error detections avoiding remakes; and fast deployment, with its bundled hardware and cloud-native software which is seamless to install.
