London Packaging Week 2025 has reported a 15% increase in attendance, drawing 5752 visitors to ExCeL London.

The two-day show featured 211 exhibitors and a conference programme with more than 90 speakers. Topics ranged from sustainable materials and circular economy models to inclusive design, innovation, and regulatory developments.

Brands from the luxury, beauty, FMCG, food, and drinks sectors presented new packaging concepts and materials, while the exhibition floor showcased thousands of packs and product displays.

Josh Brooks, divisional director of packaging at Easyfairs, said this year’s event had “something different in the air,” reflecting the growing creativity and energy within the industry. “You could feel it in every corner of the show – the imagination on the stands, the calibre of the speakers, the flow of ideas between exhibitors and visitors,” he said. “It wasn’t just busy; it was alive, a true reflection of the energy and ambition driving the packaging and design community in London right now.”

Sessions on the UK Packaging Pact and the circular economy examined the next steps in reuse, refill, and recycling systems, featuring contributions from Tesco, WWF, GoUnpackaged, and SUEZ. Speakers including Emma Bourne OBE from Defra and Jeremy Blake, CEO of PackUK, discussed how policy is being translated into action through measures such as the UK’s Extended Producer Responsibility scheme.

Other highlights included a keynote on inclusive design by Kevin Marshall, senior director of design at Microsoft, and a talk by Lucy Edwards, broadcaster and founder of Etia, on accessibility in beauty packaging.

London Packaging Week 2026 will return to ExCeL London on 16-17 September 2026, resuming its traditional mid-September slot in the industry calendar.
