INX International has announced the launch of INXJet MDLM, a new UV curable inkjet ink developed specifically for digital beverage can printing. The ink is designed to meet the demands of high-speed can decorators, offering print quality and durability while complying with global packaging safety standards.

The INXJet MDLM platform is compatible with a variety of printhead technologies and is intended for use in modern digital can decorating systems. It delivers high-resolution graphics, strong colour performance, and abrasion resistance – features that are increasingly important for brand owners aiming for visual consistency and production efficiency.

The ink’s formulation includes NoVOC (no volatile organic compounds) and BPA-NI (bisphenol A non-intent) properties. It is low odour, produces minimal misting during printing, and meets regulatory requirements such as the Swiss Ordinance, the CONEG heavy metal restrictions, and policies set by Nestlé and EuPIA. It is also durable through pasteurisation, supporting its use in beverage packaging.

Paul Edwards, vice president of the digital division, commented: “INXJet MDLM represents the next generation in digital can printing, setting a new standard for innovation. This inkset offers unparalleled print performance, abrasion resistance, and high strength colour, making it a perfect choice for brand owners wanting to maximise quality and efficiency in their digital beverage can production.”
