Esko is launching a global webinar based on its “From Design to Production Line” experience, following its debut at interpack 2026.

Developed in collaboration with CarbonQuota, ePac Flexible Packaging, io.tt, Laetus, Recyda, RegASK and Videojet Technologies, the online event will explore connected packaging workflows across the packaging value chain. The webinar is aimed at brand owners, packaging suppliers, converters and print professionals, and will take place on 10 September at 10am EST/4pm CET.

“The popularity of the experience at interpack demonstrated just how much interest there is in connected packaging workflows and integrated data management,” said Jan De Roeck, Esko’s director of marketing. “Many visitors told us the experience helped them visualise what a truly connected packaging ecosystem looks like in practice. By taking the experience online, we can now share those insights with packaging professionals worldwide.”

The webinar, titled “From Design to Production Line: The Future of the Packaging Value Chain”, is based on demonstrations presented during daily guided tours at interpack. The sessions followed the development of a granola product through packaging design, artwork creation, print production, coding and marking, before concluding with palletisation and logistics.

According to Esko, the webinar will examine how integrated technologies and shared data can support packaging development, regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives and traceability throughout the packaging lifecycle.

“The webinar showcases how integrated technologies and shared data can help organisations accelerate packaging development, improve compliance, support sustainability objectives and strengthen traceability throughout the packaging lifecycle,” said Mr De Roeck. “Throughout the session, attendees will discover how packaging data can flow seamlessly across the value chain, helping organisations prepare for emerging industry requirements including PPWR, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations, Digital Product Passport and GS1 Sunrise 2027.”

The webinar is structured around four stages of the packaging process: concept and intelligent artwork, printing, production line operations, and logistics. Topics include artwork management, recyclability assessments, digital and flexo printing, coding and inspection, traceability, and pallet optimisation.

“Packaging is no longer a series of siloed or disconnected processes,” added Mr De Roeck. “The future belongs to organisations that can connect design, compliance, sustainability, production and supply chain operations through shared data and intelligent automation. This webinar provides a practical blueprint for how that future can be achieved today.”

The webinar is intended for professionals involved in packaging development, artwork management, prepress, regulatory compliance, IT infrastructure, sustainability, production, marketing, quality assurance and supply chain management across brand owners, converters, packaging suppliers and print service providers.
