Pubbliservice has installed a second machine from Cartes, adding a new Gemini GE362VR E-Line to its production facility as part of an effort to expand capacity in the finishing and converting of self-adhesive labels.

The newly installed machine is configured with varnishing and semi-rotary die-cutting units and will complement the company’s existing Cartes GT360 Series machine, model GT363SHR, which was installed in 2019.

According to the companies, the investment is intended to increase flexibility, efficiency and quality in finishing operations. The Gemini GE362VR E-Line is part of Cartes’ modular platform for label finishing in the 360mm web width and is designed for digital converting applications. Features of the platform include configurable processing modules, parameter storage and recall functions, reduced material waste and lower power consumption.

At Pubbliservice, the machine integrates flexo varnishing and Cartes’ semi-rotary die-cutting technology. The Gemini E-Line Series can also be configured with flexo printing and varnishing units, Jet D-Screen digital embellishment, hot stamping, semi-rotary die-cutting and laser die-cutting.

“The installation of a second Cartes machine represents a strategic choice for us,” said Filippo Salati of Pubbliservice. “Our previous experience with the GT360 Series allowed us to appreciate the reliability, build quality and flexibility of Cartes solutions in practical terms. With the new Gemini GE362VR E-Line, we can further expand our production capabilities, improving efficiency, response times and quality in varnishing and die-cutting processes.”

Cartes said the installation reflects an ongoing collaboration between the two companies and highlights the role of modular and customisable equipment in supporting production growth.

“We are proud that Pubbliservice has once again chosen Cartes for its production development,” says Diego Casagrande of Cartes. “The purchase of a second machine is always an important sign: it means that the installed technology has generated real value and that the relationship of trust has been consolidated over time.”
