At EskoWorld 2025, which is taking place from 3-5 June in Missouri, USA, X-Rite has introduced a new collaboration with Esko, integrating its eXact 2 handheld spectrophotometer with Esko’s Print Clone software. The combination aims to improve colour matching efficiency in digital print production.

Print Clone is a cloud-based tool that uses artificial intelligence to simplify the process of reproducing colours on digital presses. By uploading PDFs into the system and using the eXact 2 to measure physical samples, operators can generate colour profiles tailored to match previous print runs. This process is designed to reduce setup times and material waste by automating what is traditionally a manual and time-consuming task.

According to X-Rite, the technology allows press operators to more easily meet brand colour standards by accurately profiling press output based on real-time measurements.

“Print Clone is a strong example of our ongoing collaboration with Esko to automate and streamline packaging workflows,” said Cindy Cooperman, vice president of brand global strategic accounts at X-Rite Pantone.

The integration reflects the broader industry trend of using AI and cloud technologies to enhance precision and efficiency in digital printing environments.
