Jung Verpackungen, German gift and tissue paper manufacturer, has installed an HP Indigo 200K digital printing press to open new possibilities for brand and retail packaging.
The HP Indigo 200K features a roll width of 760 mm, which subsequently allows cutting of sheets or production of rolls with customer-specific content, printing at a speed of up to 56 m/min.
“The precision and colour brilliance we can achieve, especially on very thin tissue papers with a weight of only 20 g/m², is remarkable,” explained managing director, Claus Jung. “With the HP Indigo 200K, we are pioneering and not afraid to try new approaches to create market advantages for our customers.”
The HP Indigo 200K has been successfully integrated into the existing analogue workflow and now perfectly complements the company’s flexographic and screen printing systems.
“We now have three complementary printing technologies under one roof,” Mr Jung emphasises. “This combination allows us to combine different techniques to create unique visual and tactile experiences.”
The HP Indigo 200K opens new possibilities, with the main advantage lying in flexibility: small print runs can be produced promptly with short run lengths. For brand owners, this means that personalised and seasonal gift and tissue papers are affordable and quickly implementable.
Customers are seeking limited-edition designs for specific occasions and expect faster turnaround times. These shifting needs align perfectly with the strengths of digital printing, which offers the flexibility, speed, and precision required to meet modern expectations.
“We look optimistically to the future,” summarises Mr Jung. “With our expanded machinery, we can offer our customers even better service and explore new creative paths.”
