Screen’s digital inkjet label press, the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI-S, has been awarded the G7 Digital Press Certification by Idealliance, the standards, training, and certification organisation
The G7 Digital Inkjet & LEP Press Certification Program evaluates the capabilities of digital production devices in real-world conditions. The programme includes rigorous testing across critical colour and printing parameters, validating the press as a reliable and consistent performer for demanding label production environments.
The press achieved this certification under the Extended Gamut CRPC7 rating, one of the benchmarks for expanded colour reproduction. According to the company, this internationally recognised certification confirms that the press delivers on a wide array of essential qualities required to meet the highest standards for colorimetric accuracy, uniformity, repeatability, durability, and registration.
The G7 certification measures not only the mechanical capabilities but also the colour management from proprietary EQUIOS workflow software. EQUIOS analyses PDF and RGB design files using spectral colour data and simulates overprints, opacity, and ink laydown. It then directs the inkheads to automatically compensates for substrate variations and optimises ink usage to achieve precise colour targets with remarkable consistency.
In traditional analogue label printing workflows, colour reproduction relied heavily on the expertise of the press operator to assess colour matching by eye. By contrast, EQUIOS eliminates guesswork and delivers consistent results from one job to the next regardless of environmental conditions or operator skill. The result is reduced waste, faster turnaround, and fewer reprints, all while maintaining exceptional results.
The certification programme evaluates the entire press system, including the digital front-end, print engine, and compatible substrates in real production environments.
According to the company, this endorsement reinforces Screen’s ongoing commitment to helping customers deliver high-impact, reliable label production that enhances profitability and their long-term market share, rather than a handful of quality labels in testing environments.
