The Xeikon 3030 digital press

Access Labels, in Nova Scotia, has invested in its first digital press, a Xeikon 3030, to provide high quality, low volume labels for companies in Atlantic Canada.

Established in 1993, Access Labels is using the new press to supplement its flexo equipment, expand into new markets, and better service the demands of its customers.

Head of business development Robert Sams said, ‘From our location in Atlantic Canada, we provide a robust product line and the high level of service our customers have come to expect. To keep pace with the needs of this loyal customer base and to help us grow into new markets, we needed to move into digital.’

Acquiring the Xeikon 3030 has enabled the company to become the first full service label provider in Atlantic Canada and has expanded its business to include high quality, short run and prime label production jobs.

Mr Sams said, ‘Our customer base includes many specialty food providers who demand high quality labels, including vineyards, seafood providers and dairies. Previously, we were unable to be competitive with prime labels, but since adopting the Xeikon 3030, our customers now have access to all our expanding product offerings under one roof. This growth would not be possible without the Xeikon 3030.’

David Wilkins, vice president sales and marketing US and Canada at Xeikon, said, ‘Access Labels is an example of what can be accomplished when you combine our digital printing capabilities with a customer’s innovation and commitment. Xeikon label solutions offer a combination of print quality, flexibility, versatility, and productivity. It is gratifying to see how these features have supported Access Labels and its customers.’
