CEO Serghei Sapojnic with the new press

FlexLabel, a Moldova-based print service provider specialising in labels, has invested in an HP Indigo WS6800. The press was installed in January and is the company’s second HP Indigo machine.

The first label converter to adopt digital printing in the Republic of Moldova, with the installation of an HP Indigo ws4500 in 2014, FlexLabel primarily supports the local and exported wine label industry, while additionally printing labels for both the food and cosmetics industries. Following years of growth and expansion since its first digital press installation, the company will increase their speed and productivity with the new press for its labels business, while also expanding into flexible packaging.

‘As FlexLabel continues to grow at a fast pace, we need the ability to grow our productivity and ease of production,’ said CEO Serghei Sapojnic. ‘When searching for an additional digital press, we based our decision on the trends we’re seeing in the market, such as the increase in short-term orders and the requests for faster turnaround. Especially in the wine business, we are seeing a rapid and versatile proliferation of SKUs, which simply demand these capabilities. The HP Indigo WS6800 helps us deliver for these increasingly important market needs.’
