The T4 compact label printing and finishing system
The commercial launch of the Trojan T4 digital colour label press and finishing system has taken place according to AstroNova, with the first shipments going to customers in North America.
‘With its superior quality, high speed and significantly lower cost than competitive digital printing systems, the Trojan T4 from TrojanLabel is truly game-changing technology that enables small- to mid-sized commercial printers to move into the professional, high-production digital label printing market,’ said president and CEO Greg Woods.
Customers can see the compact label system in action at the company’s new Innovation Technology Centers (ITCs), which have opened in Chicago, and West Warwick, in the US, as well as in Denmark, Shanghai and Germany.
‘The response to the T4 and the entire new TrojanLabel product line has been exceptional,’ said Mr Woods.
The digital label press is integrated with a label finishing system, and features a high-resolution inkjet print module, lamination and die-cuttingstations, slitting and waste matrix take-up. With its semi-rotary and full-rotary die-cutting feature, the T4 can produce blank die-cut labels at speeds up to 50m/min and print in four colours at 18.3m/min in a max resolution of 1600 x 1600dpi. The print module is replaceable and can be updated to the latest printing technology to future-proof the investment.
