Global sleeve label market by region 2017
A new study, published by AWA Alexander Watson Associates, confirms the continued growth of the global sleeve labelling market.
The research report confirms how strongly sleeve labelling technology has established itself in a relatively short timescale. Today claiming around 18% of the overall global label market, it is a maturing technology, but growth is still strong, at an annual 5.5%. Most of the volumes are in heat shrink sleeves (88%) with the Asian region claiming the highest volumes by far.
Across all the sleeve label formats – heat shrink, stretch sleeve, ROSO MD sleeve and RFS MD sleeve – the major end-use market sector is beverages (66%) with food-related applications today in second place (19%).
