Independent UK label and packaging manufacturer Baker Labels has invested in excess of £1 million in new technology at Labelexpo Europe 2025.

Bakers invests in Galaxy Packtech
The Brentwood-based business took a flexible approach to this year’s Labelexpo, opting to make purchasing decisions on site after reviewing new technologies and consulting with key suppliers.
“We’ve always made it a priority to stay at the forefront of label and packaging technology,” said managing director Steve Baker. “Our long-standing partnership with HP has been central to that journey.”
Following the event, Bakers, a Digital Labels & Packaging Group member, confirmed the addition of two new HP Indigo 6K+ presses, aimed at enhancing print speed and quality for label production. On the flexible packaging side, the company is expanding its BakPac offering with a Galaxy Packtech GS 24 Plus 200 SBS pouchmaker.

“These investments reflect our confidence in the future and our commitment to giving brands and trade partners the innovation, service, and agility they expect from Bakers,” Mr Baker added.
Gaurav Sharma, chief marketing officer of Galaxy Packtech, commented: “BakPac’s continued trust in our technology is a true testament to the reliability, performance, and partnership we stand for. Moments like these remind us that long-term relationships are built on more than machines, they’re built on shared goals, consistent support, and the drive to innovate together.”
