Manufacturer of printing technologies Durst and MIS provider Cerm has partnered with an aim to improve integration between production systems and business management software.

The collaboration introduces a new connector between Durst Analytics and Cerm MIS, enabling direct and automated transfer of production data from Durst Tau label printing systems into Cerm’s MIS platform. This integration is intended to create a link between printing equipment and the business operations software used by label converters.

“The demand for full integration of production and business data has been strong in our industry for years,” said Serge Clauss, product manager software and solutions at Durst. “By connecting Durst Analytics with Cerm, we are now offering our customers a solution that delivers maximum transparency and control.”

Cerm emphasised the operational benefits of the new connection, particularly in real-time data access.

“Our goal is to provide label and packaging printers with a fully integrated ecosystem in which all relevant production and business data are connected,” said Steffen Haaga, director of global business development at Cerm. “By linking with Durst Analytics, our customers now have, for the first time, the ability to connect their Durst Tau label presses to our MIS in real time – an essential step to increasing productivity and making data-driven decisions.”

The integration will be officially introduced at Labelexpo 2025.
