Ruth Isheim, Kama communications manager, receives the award from EDP president, Klaus-Peter Nicolay
German-based machine manufacturer Kama has won a European Digital Press Award for its new FF 52i folder gluer in the category “best folding carton solution”.
Introduced at drupa 2016, the company’s FF 52i folder gluer is dedicated to short runs and has a patented folding section that allows for five-minute job changeovers. The EDP jury honoured the new development as a safe folding carton solution with full inline inspection of print and finishing.
EDP president, Klaus-Peter Nicolay and Herman Hartman, head of the technical EDP committee, presented Kama with the award at Fespa 2017.
‘We are very proud of the jury’s recognition for our latest development,’ said Ruth Isheim, communications manager. ‘We have put about three years of development and all our experience with the digital print process from our close cooperation with digital press manufacturers into it.’
