An HP Scitex 15500 represents the first steps into digital
Corrugated and flexible packaging specialist Saica Group (Sociedad Anónima Industrias Celulosa Aragonesa) has entered the digital print arena with the installation of an HP Scitex 15500 corrugated press at Saica Pack in Barcelona.
The move reflects its growing shift towards digital transformation, which will enable the company to be more flexible when addressing new market needs.
The acquisition of the new press will help Saica combat the new challenges faced by the print sector in Spain. The installation in Barcelona gives this centre greater agility to meet customer needs and respond to the growing demand for shorter and customised runs in the corrugated market.
‘By installing our first digital printer, it mobilises us to offer quicker turnarounds and greater versatility than our competitors. The HP Scitex 15500 is definitely helping boost development and growth at Saica,’ said Miguel Angel Martinez, the company’s commercial and marketing director.
The group is celebrating its 75 anniversary this year and launched a new website last month.
